The solo on the studio version of "Dire Wolf" is a slice of perfection. Of course, the first NRPS lp is great fun. I like the way Jerry turns the Pedal Steel into a space instrument on "Dirty Business."

I could be wrong, but i remember hearing that he played steel guitar on some Crosby,Stills,Nash and Young tracks on Four Way Street. Now that ive mentioned it... it was probably the topic of this thread. A "pre-empted" sorry if it was :)
